Our members are composed of Chinese students, foreign students, and exchange students enrolled at various universities in Beijing, and also recent college graduates based in the city. While our members come not only from China, but also from Korea, Japan, Kazakhstan, Samoa, Germany and Panama, we all have a common interest on China and East Asia. Due to the diverse backgrounds of our members, our meetings, discussions, and activities are being conducted in English (or Chinese).
Our objectives:
Cultivate intellectual and academic understanding of East Asian economic, cultural, and social issues through self-motivated research, critical analysis, and open-minded discussion.
Provide platform for the exchange of different perspectives and reconciliation of varying viewpoints on East Asian issues among members of the rising generation with different ethnic, national, or educational backgrounds.
Promote friendship between individual members, cooperation between demographic groups, and goodwill toward the global community through sharing experiences and endeavors.
Annually we cooperate with student organizations from Korea and Japan to organize the Asian Leadership Network (ALN) Forum sponsored by Global Asia, one of the leading academic journals in Asia published by the East Asia Foundation.
